主讲人简介:

Dr. Cai Chang is one of the first globally recruited One Health experts by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations. Her main responsibilities include coordinating national efforts for the UN's One Health projects, global analysis and modeling of One Health data, and policy analysis for global antibiotic resistance control. After graduating from the College of Veterinary Medicine at China Agricultural University, Dr. Cai pursued further studies in Australia. During her doctoral studies from 2009 to 2013, Dr. Cai, as an expert for the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH) project, was responsible for conducting cross-border risk analysis of China's first major epidemic. This project successfully identified the risk pathways for the spread of foot-and-mouth disease from Southeast Asian countries to China and quantified the risk levels associated with each pathway. The research findings were repeatedly introduced and referenced during border trade negotiations between China's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and neighboring countries. Moreover, when China sought to join the WOAH's "Southeast Asia Foot-and-Mouth Disease Defense Alliance", these research findings served as China's main negotiating asset, establishing its leadership position and influence within the alliance.
